What Is a Resistor Array / Network?
A resistor array / network is a component that holds several resistors in a single package. When many same-value resistors are needed, it saves board space and assembly effort.
How Does It Work?
The resistors inside are either isolated from one another (each separate) or tied to a common terminal (bus). The right type is chosen for the need.

Advantages

Package Types
Resistor arrays usually come in SIP (single row of pins) or DIP/SMD packages. The number of resistors and the value are printed on them; on bussed types a dot or line marks the common pin (usually pin 1).
Common Mistakes
- Choosing the wrong type: using a bussed part where isolated is needed makes a wrong connection.
- Mixing up pin 1: on bussed arrays the direction of the common pin matters.
- Forgetting power distribution: the total power of all resistors must not exceed the package limit.
