What Is the IRLZ44N? Logic-Level MOSFET: Pinout and Uses
The IRLZ44N is a logic-level N-channel power MOSFET. Its gate fully turns on at 5 V (even ~4 V); it can be driven directly from a 5V/3.3V MCU without a gate driver. V_DS 55 V, ~47 A, R_DS(on) ~22 mΩ. It is used for PWM motor/LED driving and low-voltage high current. Unlike the IRFZ44N it fully turns on at 5 V.
The IRLZ44N is a logic-level N-channel power MOSFET. Its key difference from the IRFZ44N: its gate fully turns on at 5 V (even ~4 V), so it can be driven directly from a 5 V/3.3 V microcontroller without a gate driver. For the concept, see what is a MOSFET.
What is the IRLZ44N used for?
PWM motor/LED driving from an MCU, switching heaters/solenoids, low-voltage high current. The IRL prefix means "logic-level"; the IRF prefix is standard-level (needs ~10 V).

IRLZ44N or IRFZ44N?
Both are ~55 V N-channel power MOSFETs; the difference is gate drive. If you drive directly from an MCU, choose the IRLZ44N (logic-level); the IRFZ44N does not fully turn on at 5 V and heats up. With a 10 V+ gate drive either works.
